You've Had A Birthday, Shout HooRay!

Well another 365 days have gone by and I just happened to turn one year older on Feb. 18th!  I can't believe that I turned 24.  I just barely got used to saying I was 23!  I was telling people I was 22 for about a good year and a half till I realized I was 23, haha!  Usually, I always have a 3 day weekend to celebrate my birthday due to Presidents Day, but apparently our school thinks that we need to go to school on Presidents Day AND take Finals as well!  Even though it was a crappy weekend to celebrate, due to preparation for finals, Ryan made it a pretty SPECIAL day for me! I have to best hubby.

The Birthday morning started out bright an early at 7 am with some French Toast and Eggs...Delicious! Then it was time to study Genetics and Pathophysiology from 8 am to Midnight, and yes it lasted that long for the both of us!  But of course we took a little break and opened some presents....Ryan did such a good job and spoiled me.
I got some new Under Armour running shirts, 2 cute DownEast shirts (thanks Jackie in helping Ryan and for the shirt), a new scripture marker, and some fun new baking pans to make ice cream sandwiches and whoopee pies!

We decided to go out for lunch and try out a new Mexican restaurant called Ajo Al's.  It was pretty amazing and a nice little break.  We have not ate that big of a meal in a long time!  Needless to say, we didn't even eat dinner we were so stuffed!

We hit the books some more, took an hour to go workout, BUT still studied while running/elliptical and then decided to have some birthday cake.  The tradition in my family is homemade Red Velvet Cake for a birthday cake, but I did not have enough time to bake (I expect a Red Velvet Cake in Idaho, dad) so we picked up a Chocolate Caramel Snickers cake with some Vanilla Ice Cream to celebrate.  Don't mind the sweaty hair.

We then continued to study till about 10:30 pm and then we both were hungry! So what better then Jack in the Box Tacos?
This is how our table will look for the whole week of Finals we are about to conquer!  Then we are Idaho bound!  Once midnight struck we were done studying and ready for bed!  It was busy day, but thanks to my awesome Husband, family and friends who called and sent messages it was a great birthday!  Thanks everyone!!!

Love Is In The Air

How do two busy graduate school students celebrate Lover's Day?  Well, since Valentine's Days is on a Tuesday this year and WE both have a test Wednesday morning and then Friday morning and then it is Finals the next week, we celebrated it 5 days early when there is no tests and we have 2 hours to spare!  We were both craving some good, fresh fish so we visited the RL aka Red Lobster!  We had to do the whole 4 course meal with soup, salad, main entree, and then some good dessert!  It was DELICIOUS!  It was so nice to just spend some US time even though we ended up try to prove to one another how a certain drug works in the body, but hey it was nice to be together.

We had to also celebrate by making some delicious goodies.....Red Velvet cake with cream cheese frosting cake balls and and Hershey kisses, M&M pretzels.  They were a fun little treat that we delivered to our friends and enjoyed munching on, they were great!

Hope everyone enjoyed their Valentine's Day with their Sweetheart like I did.
