Turkey Day

Thanksgiving was so much fun!  We received a call from some of Ryan's siblings that they wanted to come to AZ to celebrate Turkey day with us.  Lets be honest, it was more for the sunshine, but hey we were still glad they came!  Ryan and I only had Thanksgiving day and the weekend off so there wasn't a way to head to Idaho with that little of time.  It was great to enjoy our last sunny AZ Thanksgiving, especially with family.  So crazy to think that we will be leaving AZ in less then 6 months!!

Any who,  some of the family arrived early Wednesday morning, but Ryan and I still had to go to rotation so while we were gone "some" were able to sleep since they drove through the night.  Right off the bat,  Maddex made friends with Abbi.  Maddex liked to chase her and Abbi chase him and of course Abbi loved the food droppings.

But sometimes Maddex just needed his own space for his trains in Abbi's pen

We visited the park many times to play on the toys, feed the ducks, and of course play some sand volleyball.  The weather was beautiful in the low 70s.

The next day was Thanksgiving, Ryan and I were ready to cook up a mean feast.  We also invited the missionaries to have Thanksgiving dinner.  This was probably the funniest holiday dinner due to the many surprises that were unknown.

These two found out that they had dated the same chick....While the missionary has been out serving his mission, Morgan has/had been dating his girlfriend that he left behind and has still been keeping touch with.  Probably the funniest moment ever.  So I had to get a picture of the two of them together. A little awkward at first, but it then smoothed over.

We had a competitive game of bowling one of the nights and to just let people know I won the first round and also bowled a turkey. Devin won the next game, the in-laws totally dominated.

Saturday evening before everyone left we headed to the one and only Oreggano's and then hit up the Mesa Arizona Temple Christmas lights.

It was a great Thanksgiving weekend with the family.  Thanks for coming to see us!!!
