This past Sunday was our ward's primary program. Primary has been a lot of fun for me this past year. It has taught me a lot about what it really means to "be as a little child." I have been able to teach the CTR 6 and I tell you what, sometimes they just say the darnest things! My kids did so go memorizing their parts and singing their little hearts out. I decided to make them some sun cupcakes for always "brightening" my day!
This has probably been one of the best callings for me. It has taught me what true patience really is!

Last White Coat Ceremony!!!
It was finally my turn...again....to do my White Coat Ceremony, finally my LAST one, haha! It was nice to do the ceremony again, a lot different from the one at ISU, but hey I got another white coat! School has been pretty busy this last quarter for us, but we only have one more week of school and then FINALS....and then CANCUN/IDAHO! We are so excited to go to CANCUN but it seems kind of unreal since we have so much to get done in the next two weeks before we can start to enjoy ourselves.
I have been able to make some great new friends in my program! Here are a few pictures...

This is my buddy Kristen, we try and keep each other sane
The group minus one
The sun was a little bright!
We officially have two healthcare professionals now in our little family. I don't remember if I ever posted a picture of Ryan's White Coat Ceremony, so here is a shout out to him.
Ryan has been doing extremely well in school! He impresses me on how well he retains everything they throw at him! Every now and then I feel like I need to thank him for taking care of our family and for making sure he gets the best education he can for our future family. I got him this little bag of goodies with some sayings on it when he had a crazy week of 4 tests!
Pretty sure I probably ate most of the candy!

Tablets, Capsules, Suppositories OH MY!
So, nothing really new around the Finn Household. Our days consist of school, school work, some more school work, preparing for tests, hour or so of exercise, and then some more school work. So pretty much in a nut shell there has been our lives for the last 6 or 7 weeks! Let's see, Ryan is currently first in his Fantasy Football league and he is pretty proud of that! I on the other hand have become quite the capsule and suppository maker from my pharmaceutics class.
One new great activity that we have adapted into our Family Home Evening is "Name that Drug." haha jk but our life consists of talking about diseases and drugs, we actually do that quite often. So this is a pretty lame update but when you live and breathe school nothing exciting really happens.
Here are some suppositories I made
And the final suppository wrapped

Always better to "Look Up"
This past conference was amazing! It goes by so fast, but it is by far my favorite weekend of the fall. Even though saturday is our big study day it was a nice excuse to pretend to be studying but instead being fed by the spirit. The talk from Elder Carl B. Cook has totally brought a new light to my life that keeps me going. There are times I feel I get caught up in all the homework, studying for tests, church callings, making sure I get my 60 minutes of working out in and just daily life things. I tend to "look down" on all of those things. This article, you can read here, has brought more joy into my life these past few weeks.
Elder Cook goes on to say,
"The door opened and someone entered, but I didn’t look up. As the door closed, I heard someone ask, “What are you looking at down there?” I recognized that voice—it was President Thomas S. Monson. I quickly looked up and responded, "Oh nothing." But he had seen my subdued countenance and my heavy briefcase. He smiled and lovingly suggested, while pointing heavenward, “It is better to look up!” As we traveled down one more level, he cheerfully explained that he was on his way to the temple. When he bid me farewell, his parting glance spoke again to my heart, “Now, remember, it is better to look up.”"
There are so many times like these in my day or week, where i just feel burdened with a load, but if I just take the time to remember to "look up" life is always better.

Doctor In Training
That is right folks! We have a Doctor in Training.....he even has a shirt that says so!
Now everyone can finally believe that we really are going to school! We didn't just move away for fun, we came for school! So, there is a story to this shirt. "Doctors in Training" is a program that you buy to help you prepare for the BIG (Im talking like DECIDES our future BIG) Second Year test Ryan gets to take this coming June! It pretty much tells us what kind of doctor he can be. For those of you who don't know much about medical school, it is pretty much like him taking the MCAT all over again (test like the ACT/SAT to get into college). There is a range of scores. The higher you get the better/more options you have of being whatever kind of doctor you want aka more money or less money, take your pick haha.
So Ryan warned me at the beginning of the school year that we will probably have to spend somewhere around a THOUSAND dollars in prep books/materials for his big test. I just nodded my head and said okay not thinking anything about it. Well this week he had a meeting at lunch about this "doctors in training" program. I get a phone call and it goes like this, "Kali they are giving us $150 dollars off if we buy the package right now, so I need the credit card number!" I was thinking to myself, Oh boy, that is just so nice of them! Well come to find out we still had to pay just under $700 for the dang thing! All I can say is, it better be worth it! BUT DO NOT WORRY, it came with a pretty SWEET SHIRT, for just under $700!!!!
