Graduation: Dr. Ryan Finn

Well the time finally came after a long, difficult, challenging, and very rewarding 4 years of medical school.  GRADUATION!!!  Ryan's graduation was first on Wednesday, May 28th.  It was pretty surreal to think that graduation was finally upon us.  Both of us admit that we didn't feel as much hype for this like when you graduate high school.  Maybe it's just because you are so burnt out???  But it finally felt real when we stepped on the campus grounds and could hear the bag pipes playing with people in graduation gowns all over.  To be honest it felt more like Hogwarts, I just wish we could have received a wand instead :)

Some before graduation pictures with most of the crew (yup, I was that wife)

Jed, Josh, Ryan, Lee, Jordan, Austin

It was a really good graduation ceremony, short and to the point.  Ryan and I had the privilege to hood one another since we both received our doctorates degree.  It was a great way to end the last 4 years of both of us studying our little brains out together.  So fun to wear the "real" doctorate 8 point cap.

After the ceremony it was time for family pictures
 The Finn Clan

The Hess Clan

Ryan's blue cord was for the Honors Society

We made some great friends who became our family here in Arizona.  We had a lot of fun date nights with the Horrocks.  I am happy we found great friends.  We will really miss them!

And of course we had to get some more group pictures of the gang.  I don't really think people quite understand how hard graduate school is.  It is true that you gain such close friends because you only understand what each other is going through.  Saying goodbye to these friends was hard to do.  It seems unreal that we are all separated.

The Wives (Kali, Jackie, Sadie, Missy, Khyra)

The Boys (Lee, Ryan, Jordan, Austin, Tyler)

The Crew, minus a few

Some of the missing crew, The Siruceks, headed to Texas A&M for Sports Medicine

Johnny Bowers, headed to Baylor University for Radiation Oncology

It was a great day being able to celebrate Ryan and his accomplishments.  I sure am proud of him and all of the hard work he has done.  Here is to many more years of hard work, but with some fun!!!
